You sit at a table with your own clay, tools and apron. The host walks the room through the basics — wedging, centring, shaping, smoothing — and then lets you make what you came for: a bowl, a mug, a small planter, a pair of matching keepsakes if you booked the date version. Nobody is graded and nothing is rushed. Most people finish two pieces in the two hours; the host packs them so they survive the rickshaw home. Blue Pottery Painting is the exception: the ceramics are pre-fired, and the afternoon is spent on the Jaipur-style cobalt patterns instead of the wheel.

Solo visitors, who are more common than you would think — pottery is a good way to spend two hours with your hands busy and your phone away. The practical bits
Sessions run at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays at Rude Lounge, Ground Floor, Saraswati Kunj CHS, Jawahar Nagar, Powai, Mumbai 400076 — a few minutes from Hiranandani Gardens and Powai Lake, and about half an hour from Andheri, Ghatkopar and Vikhroli. Prices are per person and include all materials. Some sessions carry a small cover charge paid at the venue, which is shown on each event page before you book. You book online, pay by UPI or card, and get a ticket with a QR code by email in seconds.

Do I need any pottery experience?
No. Every session is designed for complete beginners. The host demonstrates each step and helps at your table; most people have never touched clay before.
What do I take home?
The pieces you make in the session, packed to travel. For painted ceramics you take the finished, decorated piece.

About two hours. Sessions start at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
